On our way to Manchester, New Hampshire courtesy of Southwest Airlines.
After an hour or so of driving… We arrived at the mecca that is King Arthur Flour! So excited… just cannot put it into words. For a foodie… this is heaven. Sorry about the picture quality… I was using my iPhone 5 and some are from my Instagram account.
Then we took a private tour with Diane. The bakers were hard at work.
Macaroons!!!!! And lots of them.
Then we headed over to the cafe to grab some lunch. Sneaking peeks at all of the goodies. *drooling*
My daughter and her bestie Paige opted for this sandwich. And when they say marshmallow – they aren’t talking fluff – they are talking a full on slab of fresh, homemade marshmallow!
I went the healthy route with a Kamut salad that was to die for!
So now that you shared in my love affair that is KAF, they wanted to share some goodies with my friends of Knead to Cook. Thankfully they shipped my goodies right to my door because I bought so much!
So next Saturday on March 23rd, 2013 – one random U.S. winner that is chosen by random.org will be selected to win a coupon for one bag of KAF (to be used at your local grocery store) and
Set of 8 colored sugars for all of your baking/decorating needs. The giveaway starts immediately. How do you enter?
Like both Knead to Cook’s facebook page AND King Arthur Flour’s facebook page. Enter a comment on this post or on Knead to Cook’s giveaway link. Even a simple hello will work. A winner will be chosen March 23, 2013 at 9 pm EST. Announcement of the winner will be after that. You must be a US resident to enter. The winner will be chosen by radom.org.
King Arthur Flour will ship the prize directly to the winner.

Can you say pretty cookie overload??!! I can!
My review on the OXO cookie press~~~OXO sent me some foodie swag this week and I have to tell you, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and use it in the kitchen. I have a an older cookie press I believe from Williams Sonoma that isn’t that easy to use. I’ve honestly always shied away from using it because of that fact, again, it’s old. The OXO Good Grips Cookie Press tube for the cookie dough is huge! That makes life so much easier! It comes apart easily for cleaning. The disks for shapes are so varied and awesome. I’m in love… like I am with all of their products! I went with a Valentine theme today in making over 100 cookies. Yes, I’ll be sharing these with my friends! I used the recipe for Butter Cookies that comes with the manual. I made only two adaptations that I note below. The retail value on the press is around $29 and they did send me their springtime shapes kit as well, which can be purchased separately. Packaging was phenomenal. The hard case that holds all of the shape disks is lovely. Top notch! Five star review.
Here is the link to my original posting with the recipe included:

I wanted to demonstrate another feature of the Magimix food processor that I’m giving away next Sunday. Today I thinly sliced yellow and green zucchini that I will sauté in sesame oil right before dinner.
I’ll take you on a photo by photo how-to. This machine was literally thinly slicing without me even having to push the veggie through the spout. It’s incredibly powerful! Slices like a dream. Took me about 15 seconds to slice up 4 medium zucchinis! Take about efficient!
First, I used the larger bowl no blade in the bottom.
Next, you’re going to add the long tubal piece to elevate the blade that will slice the zucchini. This piece gets placed right in the center and fits perfectly.
Then select the slicer blade that you wish to use. I used this one to create paper thin zucchini slices for a light salad sautéed in sesame oil and topped with some sesame seeds right before dinner. It fits nicely right over the extension rod you added previously.
Place the lid on top and turn until it locks.
Next step, place the plastic insert into the top.
Then place the zucchini into the opening. It started slicing without me even using the plunger to push it down towards the blade. Talk about fast!
Quick and efficient. Love that! Uniform slicing at it’s finest.
When I’m ready to cook, I’ll add a tablespoon of olive oil and a drizzle of sesame oil to a hot pan, toss the zucchini in for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper and top with toasted sesame seeds. Can serve hot or at room temperature.
Make sure you sign up for the Magimix food processor giveaway!

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by this company to try their product. This isn’t that uncommon being a food blogger. So it arrived and I remember exactly when I tried it… Black Friday. The day after Thanksgiving when I was trying to be “oh-so-good” with the eating after the food-fest just the day prior. We had just completed all of our Christmas decorating and I needed a snack. BAM! These popped into my head and I tore into the first bag (they sent me two). I tried the almond first, my fave, and immediately I was in love! I love quinoa!!! It is one of the most perfect foods. Quinoa is the only grain that is a complete source of protein and the same kind of protein found in meat & dairy.
The little delights taste like a quinoa brittle. Sweet but not overly sweet. Crunchy. Just perfection! I’m a huge quinoa fan and these honestly have my name written all over them! Here is the dietary information (also gluten free):
And here is a pick of what these little delights look like:
Okay so now that I fell in love with these little treats… i heart keenwah wants to share a bag with one lucky U.S. fan of Knead to Cook. So how do you enter?
1. Like i heart keenwah on Facebook.
2. Like Knead to Cook on Facebook.
3. Leave a comment either on this blog entry or on my Facebook page announcing this contest.
U.S. residents only. The winner will be selected Friday, December 14th at 8 pm EST. The winner will have 48 hours to email me at robin@kneadtocook.com to provide shipping information. This post is sponsored by Outta the Ballpark BBQ sauce. They generously sent me four bottles of their incredibly clean bbq sauce and I had to whip up a great lip smacking recipe that the family would love AND that was easy. Lots of appointments this week after school so a crock pot recipe was necessary. Along with them sharing BBQ sauce with me – they are going to share some with you guys! 2 bottles (spicy and regular) and two mini bottles (spicy and regular) to one fan of Knead to Cook’s Facebook page and who lives in the 48 contiguous states.
To enter: Leave a comment on this post or on this post on Facebook to enter. Be a fan of Knead to Cook and Outta the Ballpark BBQ facebook pages. Reside in the 48 contiguous states. A random winner will be selected on Thursday, October 5th at 9 pm EST. The winner must email robin@kneadtocook.com to provide their shipping address within 48 hours of being announced. If the winner fails to do that, another winner will be selected.
This recipe is super easy!
Ingredients:
1 bottle of Outta the Ballpark bbq sauce
1/3 cup of chicken broth
6 chicken breasts
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
Directions:
Place all of your ingredients into your crock pot. Turn to the low setting and give all of the ingredients a good stir. Cover and let cook for 4 – 6 hours. Remove and place the chicken in a bowl. With two forks, shred the meat. Ladle some of the sauce over top of the chicken and serve on a bun. Enjoy!

Yesterday I had the awesome pleasure of chatting with the CEO/owner/genius behind Mac-n-Mo’s Magical Morsels based in Los Angeles. It was an amazing conversation and it totally brightened a sick, ill-filled, down kind of day. I’m so blessed to have started on this awesome food journey. You never know where it will take you!
So after I got off the phone with Mo… I immediately ordered some of her vegan awesomeness! But I’m all about sharing! So I asked her if she would share with you guys and she agreed!
