South Beach, Miami 2011

My name is Robin  and I’m the blogger, recipe creator, runner and general fitness enthusiast. Fitfluential Ambassador.  I’ve been married to my greatest supporter for the past 17.5 years.  Together we have two teenage daughters and 2 dogs and a cat.

About 2.5 years ago I started to make a change in my life regarding food, which is why you will see a huge transition in recipes I create from the inception of my blog till now.  I lost 32 lbs and felt so much better.  I ran faster.  I recovered faster and felt lighter on my feet while training.

One year ago I became a vegetarian and loved the way I was feeling but in January of 2014, I started to notice some issues in the evening after consuming dairy.  My husband suggested removing it for a trial period and I instantly felt better.  From that point I became a plant-based vegan.  As a vegan athlete I’m still learning a lot but have enjoyed the journey and what its taught me.  Life, it’s certainly an evolution.

As for my exercise, I workout 6 days a week – three days of running and three days of gym/cardio/lifting.  My husband and I do many races and have proudly completed a marathon a few years ago.  Some of my races are highlighted on this page.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy trying something new or taking away some inspiration from my blog.

I totally think you can! Remove the banana and I would core, peel and then grate the apple and add it to the batter. I think it would be perfect. Let me know!

So I’m looking through your blog and I am noticing, most of your pics have accessories from Pier 1 if I’m not mistaken? ;) I’m a total geek admitting this, but I work there and I can’t help but see how wonderfully the napkins you choose go with your pictures!

Some pieces are from there. Anthropologie, Sur la Table, Crate and Barrel, WS, Potter Barn… where I find something that I like, I pick it up :) Thanks for popping by and visiting. oxoxo

Hey Robin,

Just stumbled upon your blog today and am very stoked to look through it, after reading your ‘about me’ page. Your green cacao recovery shake looks delish (the recipe that brought me to your site). My husband is a runner, running over 100 km a month, yes we live in Canada. I am a 10K runner and haven’t gone past that yet but would love to soon. I hope my husband and I can be like you and your husband in our future years! You rock on changing your diet to fit your lifestyle.

Check out my blog if you have time.
