Pete Davidson is visibly making progress in removing his tattoos. The 31-year-old comedian was spotted without a shirt during a leisurely escape with his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. On August 29, the 29-year-old model posted pictures on her Instagram from their beach vacation, displaying the couple’s enjoyable moments together. The images reveal that the tattoos on Davidson’s arms and chest are noticeably lighter.
In one of the Instagram posts captioned “Coupla silly geese on vacashon,” Hewitt shared a charming selfie where she cradles her baby bump in a swimsuit, while Davidson plants a kiss on her forehead.

In a candid revelation, Davidson mentioned he is in the process of getting rid of about 200 tattoos. He explained to Variety in April how his past struggles with drugs and his own self-image led him to get inked excessively. “I was a drug addict, I was unhappy, and I felt ugly, needing to cover up,” he said. Davidson believes starting afresh by removing his tattoos is best for his mental health.
In an interview on The Breakfast Club Power 105.1, Davidson shared his change of heart about the numerous tattoos he acquired over just two years in his early 20s. He expressed dissatisfaction with them now, unlike his younger self. His stint in rehab made him rethink his earlier decisions regarding his tattoos, which he described as “all drug-fueled.”
Davidson, however, enthusiastically mentioned that he would keep his tattoo of Hillary Clinton, which he got inked on his right leg in December 2017 after she lost the presidential election. “Hillary’s staying, I love Hillary,” he affirmed during the interview.
Hewitt first announced on Instagram on July 16 that she and Davidson are expecting their first child together. Sources close to the couple shared with PEOPLE that Davidson and Hewitt are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby. “He’s matured significantly, and he’s thrilled about becoming a father,” an insider noted. “He’s more careful about who he allows into his life now, and with Elsie, it’s never been about chasing fame or being in the spotlight, which is exactly what he needs.”
