Lindsay Lohan is once again embracing her cinematic past!

On Thursday, July 31, the 39-year-old actress stepped out at the London premiere of Freakier Friday, a new sequel to her beloved 2003 hit Freaky Friday. For the occasion, Lohan chose to honor her character Anna Coleman by wearing a sparkling sheath dress that mirrored the one her character wore in the original movie.

In Freaky Friday, Lohan’s character, Anna, performs at her mother Tess Coleman’s (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) wedding in a lilac gown adorned with white lace across her waist and bust, and along the hem. For the sequel’s premiere, her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, outfitted her in a contemporary version of this dress, crafted by designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin. The updated gown featured white and silver gemstones instead of lace, adding a modern and glamorous touch to the nostalgic piece.

Complementing her outfit, Lohan carried a vintage Judith Leiber clutch shaped like a red electric guitar, reminiscent of one used in the movie’s climax. Her accessories included diamond drop earrings and her engagement ring, enhancing the ensemble’s elegance.

Lohan opted for a subdued makeup look, allowing the dress to take center stage. She styled her blonde hair in a soft blowout and chose a palette of neutral tones for her makeup, featuring light pink blush and a matte nude lipstick.

After the premiere, Mukamal shared images on Instagram Stories of Lohan at the event and highlighted the inspiration behind her outfit, showing comparisons between the 2003 dress and the 2023 custom design, captioning it with a simple “ANNACOLEMAN.”

Earlier in the week, Lohan had already paid homage to another of her iconic roles. On Monday, she appeared on Good Morning America dressed in a way that nodded to Annie James from The Parent Trap. She wore a yellow ensemble that echoed Annie’s preppy style but updated it with a modern twist—a butter yellow two-piece set from Balmain’s upcoming collection designed by Olivier Rousteing. The outfit consisted of a tweed jacket and a matching miniskirt, accessorized with oversized sunglasses, a yellow headband, a black leather Hermés Birkin bag, and vibrant yellow heels.

Additionally, during an appearance on Live with Kelly & Mark, Lohan wore a colorful, tropical-print cheongsam-inspired dress by Roberto Cavalli, which paid tribute to her character Hallie Parker from the same film.
