Doechii is making significant strides!

On Friday, Sept. 5, the 27-year-old Grammy winner humorously revealed through her Instagram Stories that she had acquired a new home. Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon, chose not to disclose the city of her new residence. Originally from Tampa, Fla., she relocated to Los Angeles in 2019.

She kicked off her Instagram Stories by playfully asking her followers to “Rate me saying ‘Get out of my house’ in my new house.”

Following this, she posted seven additional slides with videos of herself humorously yelling various versions of “Get out.”

Alongside each video, she included a poll for her followers to rate her “performances,” giving them several humorous feedback options such as “Needs more passion,” “Overzealous,” “Gut wrenching,” “Has urgency but lacks accuracy,” “Had me then you lost me,” “Much better but I think you can do a little better,” and “Stop posting these.”

While sharing several videos from her new residence, Doechii primarily stayed in her kitchen, where she showcased different parts of it.

The snippets provided views of her stylish teal tile backsplash, open shelving for her pots and pans, and her modern home finishes.

“Truly. All of my dreams have become reality, and it feels like I’m literally walking in a dream,” she told PEOPLE. When asked what advice she would give to herself five years ago, she replied, “Keep going, star. You’re doing well. Just keep going.”

She then appeared at the 2025 Met Gala in May, wearing a Louis Vuitton suit designed in collaboration with Pharrell Williams.

Later, in August, she performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago to an enthusiastic crowd. There, she announced her first headlining tour, set to start on Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Chicago.
