In the video, Ellen is captured mowing her lawn on a riding mower, likely at her new residence in the U.K., a move confirmed by a source to PEOPLE in November 2024.

The video starts with Ellen confidently handling the mower with a caption “How it started.” Later, the clip transitions to her and a man pushing the mower up a hill.

Laughter from Ellen’s wife, Portia de Rossi, can be heard as the video ends with both Ellen and the man pushing the mower, captioned “How it ended.”

Ellen captioned the post, “Portia thought it would be fun to film my first time mowing. She was right.”

While the focus wasn’t on her hair, Ellen’s new brunette locks were clearly visible as she completed her chore.
