Pop Sensation’s Stylish Comeback at the VMAs
Ariana Grande marked a stunning return to the 2025 MTV VMAs, captivating the audience with a series of remarkable outfits throughout the event after a significant break from the awards. The night was a showcase of her impeccable fashion sense.
Fashion guru Law Roach was the mastermind behind Grande’s wardrobe for the evening. He selected four distinct outfits for the singer, ranging from a bespoke Fendi gown that echoed the 1980s to a whimsical, airy tutu dress that seemed to suspend her in midair.

“You could recognize her by just her silhouette with that distinctive ponytail,” Roach explained in a 2019 interview with Vogue.
Continuing, Roach elaborated on their collaborative approach to fashion, “Ariana brought her signature style — the ponytail and thigh-high boots. I didn’t change it; our work together has always been about elevating her unique vision and identity.”
Grande’s first appearance was in a playful polka-dotted ensemble on the red carpet, and she graced the VMAs stage three times — to present Mariah Carey with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and to accept her own awards for Best Pop and Video of the Year.

Grande debuted on the red carpet in a striking black strapless Fendi dress adorned with white polka dots, clinching at the waist and flaring out in a peplum of mixed pink and black dots. While introducing Mariah Carey, Grande shone in a black sequined V-neck gown by Tamara Ralph, detailed with beading, sheer chiffon sleeves, and a semi-sheer skirt. She accessorized with sparkling rings and subtle stud earrings, adding just the right amount of glitter.
