Lala Kent has made public her recent health concerns involving her eye, revealing that she will soon have a biopsy performed to remove and examine a small growth. This procedure aims to determine the nature of the abnormality.
The former Vanderpump Rules star, aged 34, took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 13, to discuss her situation. “I previously talked about my eye on Mother’s Day, so here’s the latest,” she shared via a series of updates, as reported by Bravo.
Kent recounted her initial visit to an eye specialist who dismissed the issue as a simple inflammation. “The doctor thought it was just an inflamed pinguecula. Many online also suggested it could be allergies,” she noted.
Unsatisfied with the diagnosis, Kent sought a second opinion. “The treatment wasn’t helping at all, which felt off to me,” she explained. Upon consulting a highly recommended doctor, she received a more alarming assessment. “He didn’t think it was an inflamed pinguecula at all. He suggested a biopsy because it might be pre-cancerous. They want to operate quickly to find out exactly what it is,” Kent detailed.
The reality TV personality first noticed a discoloration in the white of her eye two months prior, which she obsessively monitored. “It looked almost like a blister recently… Hopefully, it’s nothing, and that’s what the biopsy will show,” she said.
Discussing the upcoming procedure, Kent disclosed, “They’ll either stitch it or use a skin graft from behind my eyelid… I’m quite anxious about it.”
A few hours later, still concerned, Kent shared another update from her bed. “I’m not sure why I’m sharing this… Maybe I’m just fixating on it too much. I talk about it with my family daily, and now I’m involving all of you,” she admitted.
Kent also reflected on her role as a support system for friends facing health issues, finding it ironic now that she is the one facing uncertainty. “I always tell them it’ll be okay, we’ll deal with issues as they come. But now, being in this situation myself, all I can do is worry and imagine the worst scenarios. I’m trying to remain hopeful,” she concluded.
Kent, who was introduced in season 4 of Vanderpump Rules, mentioned that Bravo plans to recast the entire show for its upcoming season 12. She shares a four-year-old daughter, Ocean, with ex Randall Emmett and is also mother to Sosa, born in September 2024.
