Peppermint Whipped Cream.

This week I’m whipping up easy peppermint recipes that will make your holidays sparkle with little to no time or effort.  Who has extra time with so many other pressing holiday plans, parties and tasks at hand.  Homemade whipped cream is the easiest thing to make and I feel like so many people are intimidated by it.  No need.  So simple.  And adding a bit of peppermint to the base makes this whipped cream perfect for your lattes, fraps or hot chocolate.  It would also rock a chocolate pie or sundae.  Simple ingredients, takes only a few minutes and tastes so much better than the store-bought version.  A must try this holiday season.

Ingredients:

1 cup of whipping cream (I used organic) Please don’t use reduced fat etc.  Whole fat works best.
3 tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon of peppermint simple syrup

Directions:

Into your stand mixer with the whisk attached, add your cold (must be cold) whipping cream.  Also, please make sure your mixing bowl is really clean and free from butter or grease as the cream will not whip.  Cautiously, increase the speed on the mixer up to 10 and then add the sugar and syrup.  Keep whipping until you get stiff peaks (see photo) where the cream stands up on the whisk.  Taste, add additional sugar if necessary.  Then top your favorite beverage or drink.  Enjoy!
