Ozzy’s family, including his wife Sharon, children Jack, Aimee, Kelly, Jessica, Louis, and Elliot, formally announced his death on July 22. This came shortly after Ozzy’s performance in Birmingham, England, at Black Sabbath’s final concert.

According to a death certificate obtained by PEOPLE, Ozzy Osbourne died following an “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest” and “acute myocardial infarction,” with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction noted as contributing factors.
The family bid farewell to Ozzy in an emotional funeral procession on July 30 in Birmingham, England.
Later, on August 6, Jack broke his silence about his father’s death with an emotional tribute on Instagram. He expressed his deep sorrow and gratitude: “I haven’t wanted to post anything since my father passed. My heart is in pain, but at the same time, it is filled with love and gratitude. I was fortunate to spend 14,501 days with him, and that is a blessing.”
