Homemade Easy Reishi Hot Cacao. Vegan. Adaptogen.

Reishi hot cacao has taken social media by storm.  Reishi (red) mushroom consumed on a regular basis, has been shown to enhance the body’s immune system, improve circulation and optimize health conditions.  It’s an adaptogen that also helps treat anxiety, high blood pressure, insomnia (it can cause vivid dreams), hepatitis, bronchitis and asthma.

My naturopath brought it to my attention and I loved it.  However the popular brand was quite spendy and I knew I could come up with an equally potent & superb product.  I’ve been making my own for about 3 months now and have loved it.  The recipe is super simple, almost too easy but it demands documentation for all of you who want to make a more economical version.

Today marks 12 days post op.  I’ve been lifting upper body/back/core pretty hard daily, trying to mix it up as much as possible.  The two week mark allows me to add in cardio and one month, weightlifting my legs.  I saw my orthopedist yesterday and we agree that we will check my pain/progress at one month to decide if the knee replacement is the next viable option. Till then, I am steadfast in my training and I’m making improvements daily.
