1857 Home aesthetic decor bedroom/office/patio/bath reveal.
This week I’m sharing our 2nd bedroom/office and patio off that room along with the hall bathroom. Our oldest will be coming home this summer before she head’s off to grad school so I wanted to share it while it was clean and organized. This room is typically used for my husband’s at-home office during the pandemic. The sweet little patio has recently been carpeted (we used tiles from Lowe’s) and furnished so that we have a nice respite while our yard is under construction. Being in the city, we do have a curtain hanging to the right of the patio to block the neighbors. The left side looks out onto our neighbor’s yard. We hung 5 ferns and some lights for a quaint little area.
The bathroom is in the hallway. During the flip, we believe that reconfigured that to allow our primary en suite to be created. It’s a sweet little bathroom with white subway tile and gray grout which I managed to not photograph for this piece. Sorry about that. So let me get into some pics for you!
I purchased this little mirror from Fernish locally. Sadly I don’t think it’s available online.
The room is small but functions well with smart furniture choices. We only did a twin size bed and a nightstand that slides under the bed for optimal room. Most of the time Bill uses this as an office only. From there the door leads out to the patio.
From there a shot of the bathroom . As you can see in the reflection, I used the same Target tower from our other house for storage.
The room is simply decorated, like most of our home. We did do a nod to our daughter’s university on the wall. Hope you enjoy! See you next week for the next reveal. ~ox
