Question…where it says to combine the salt, oil, and yeast…should the flour be added then, too? I didn’t read the recipe through, (shame on me) and I started the process…then I wasn’t sure where to add the 4 cups of flour…

I did by hand but you can do it with the dough hook in your stand mixer. I honestly think that dried cherries would be much better. The canned caused the dough to be quite wet, therefore requiring me to add a lot of extra flour. The next time I make it I’m going to try dried. If you do, let me know how it works out for you. Could the first kneading be done in a stand mixer? And how do you think it would work with dried cherries? It sounds like my kids would love it.
