Friday is here and as we brace for our first snowstorm of the winter 2016 (insert sarcasm). I’m trying to see the positive in the arrival of this storm – with everyone home and safe, I feel better but sadly my youngest daughter’s church retreat was postponed. But I’m stocked up on bananas, beets and farmer’s market goodies so I’ll be cooking up a storm. Plus my resolution for the year is cleaning out/decluttering and painting rooms in my house that I haven’t done already. My bedroom is the first on the list.
My first favorite and coupon is Sherwin Williams Emerald paint. I’ve tested about 10 colors in my master bedroom and settled on Sherwin Williams Gateway Gray. I’m not a fan of gray – gray (too institutional looking to me). This was a good blend of gray/taupe-ish and a bit darker than the khaki color in my room now. They also have a coupon for 30% off that I wanted to share with you all.

I’ve been using this deodorant for a few months and love. Cruelty and aluminum free. Best price I’ve found has been here. It comes in a variety of scents but I love bergamot.
I found this combo at HomeGoods for $4.99! I love this vitamin-packed chia/flax combo in my daily smoothies. Packed with Omega’s, fiber and plant protein. It adds a nice nutty flavor in the smoothie or as a topping. I’ve also added this to my muffins, pancakes and waffles. So good! You can also find it at Amazon here
In my pursuit of cleaning out and pairing down I will admit I did buy these placemats this week at Target. A bargain and so cute. My placemats were so stained and tattered that they needed to go. These are bright and cheery and for only $2.99 (plus my extra discount with my Target card) – I couldn’t pass them up. I think they’re way cuter in person than on the website but here you go 🙂
